Martindale-Hubbell® has produced a directory of lawyers for more than 100 years. The peer review rating system operated by Martindale-Hubbell® has long played an integral role in the legal system by helping other attorneys, judicial members and in-house counsel find qualified legal counsel with superior ethics and professional experience. The lawyer ratings provide a useful tool in choosing an attorney or law firm. Ratings are only made after an attorney has been in practice for at least five years, and in most instances, then only upon referral by a veteran attorney.
